Sideburn was launched in early 2008, an independent motorcycle magazine with a fanzine attitude and great connections in the motorcycle world. From the outset, it was designed to differ from the mainstream, and it quickly gained a cult following. As Gary's (Inman, editor) ambition grew, Sideburn changed from producing two, to three then to its current frequency of four new issues per year. It has also grown in size over the years. Sideburn grew out of his love of flat track racing and the aesthetics of the sport, but the magazine has always covered other areas that interest him, from cult movies to road trips, off-road adventures, art and photography. He figures, if he likes it and thinks it fits, then so will you. Sideburn also makes merchandise, clothing, art prints, collaborations with other brands; promotes adventure bike holidays in India and Morocco and runs their Dirt Quake races.
